Apologies to anyone who tried to order a physical copy of Baggywrinkles yesterday. There was a stock number issue in the store, so it was showing up as sold out. This is not the case! Pre-order with ease right here.
Sorry for the mix-up!
After a sell-out weekend at TCAF, I’m suuuuper excited to announce that Baggywrinkles #4: The Plank is now available for all and sundry both online and in physical form! Download the PDF for free via Gumroad, read the rest of the comic on my site, or purchase a print copy via Storenvy. The possibilities are endless!
Also, did I mention the Tattoos and Scrimshaw exhibit has been featured on THE COLBERT REPORT? You better believe it.
The Opening of Tattoos and Scrimshaw took place yesterday at the Maritime Museum, stop #21, which is found on the edge of Vanier Park with beautiful views of downtown Vancouver. It was highly informative about the origins of tattoos, the history of whaling, and the art of scrimshaw.

You guys remember when I was working on that illustration for the Vancouver Maritime Museum? Well, their exhibition opened this week and they were kind enough to send a shot of my finished wall piece all installed and captioned up! I’m so excited to see it in person when I visit for VanCAF in May.
The show runs through October, so if any of you Canadian-types have a spare moment, give it a look! It sounds like there are a ton of entertaining and educational features on display.
Vancouverites (and other nautically-inclined folk): I’m excited to announce that I’ll have an illustration in this upcoming exhibit at the Vancouver Maritime Museum! The show runs all summer, so if you’re local (or just visiting for VanCAF in May, like me) be sure to go take a look. Hopefully I can post a preview soon.
If you’d like to be extra knowledgeable about nautical tattoos before attending the exhibit, why not take a look at Baggywrinkles: Sea of Ink? It contains a spotting guide for common tattoos and their meanings! (If you’re short on cash you can even read it online for free.)
My new favorite, 100% accurate thing. (Soon to be available on an extremely fetching t-shirt from Maiden Voyage Clothing Co.)
