Hey Portland! Just wanted to let you know I’ll be appearing on a panel in Portland tomorrow as part of this neat event called The Wild. If you have an interest in print goodness, why not stop by to hear Sarah Mirk, Zack Soto, Francois Vigneault, and yours truly discuss the state of comics and independent publishing in the digital age? The panel will be moderated by Justin Hocking and it’s absolutely free! It all goes down tomorrow (Tuesday) from 7pm to 8:30pm at the Independent Publishing Resource Center (1001 SE Division St). Allow me to brag!

TCAF was really great this year, although I was very tired the whole entire time. Here I have drawn my entire haul and a few things I remember fondly. Really there were many more things that happened but I am too lazy to draw them. I met most of the people I bought from and everyone was so nice. I am marveling at my purchases. I don’t know when I’ll have the money to eat again, but I have zero regrets about what I spent.

I just remembered that I never managed to see Katie Shanahan! She was coincidentally away from her table every time I walked by. Anyways great perfect TCAF, I got to spend time with a lot of people I admire. Which is so stressful and good.

Aw, you guys. Carolyn is amazing. Also: who else had the balls to DRAW THEIR ENTIRE TCAF HAUL. I gotta step up my game.

HOLY SHIT YOU GUYS TCAF IS NUTS.

I’ve sold out of all my copies of Baggywrinkles (1, 2, 3, AND 4!) and Tales from the Fragment, but if you come back tomorrow I’ll have limited numbers of True Believer, t-shirts, prints, buttons, and some custom watercolor paintings.

Kicking myself for not bringing more stuff, but at least this means I can run around and meet all these other cool comics people tomorrow.

TCAF! This weekend I’m tabling with some of my own comics at table 148 with Lucy Bellwood in Toronto! We’ll have plenty of comics for adults and all ages, including the new Gossip Girl zine XOXO (pictured above!) edited by Robin McConnell. Finished the prototype for Baggywrinkles #4 at 6:14pm this evening. Went out to see Iron Man 3 to celebrate. Frankly, the way people imagine it must feel to be Iron Man is the way I feel when I make comics. I love this fact.

Books are gonna be ready tomorrow afternoon. Flying to Toronto Thursday morning. Partying it up all weekend at TCAF. Dying happy.
