So those of you who keep up with me here on Tumblr are probably more than aware that I’ve been working non-stop on a new all-ages series called Cartozia Tales. There are seven core cartoonists and gaggles of guests pouring their hearts and souls into this project, and we’re preparing to launch an audacious Kickstarter campaign on the 15th of this month. With the first issue already out and the second in production, I can confidently say that this series will knock your socks off. We’re building the kind of world we wanted to read about as kids, full of strange beasts, diverse characters, puzzling mysteries, and thrilling adventures — BUT we’ve got a long way to go before we can fund a year’s worth of this magic.Subscriptions will be cheaper now than during the Kickstarter, since we’ll have to account for fees and taxes in our fundraising figure, so every comic or subscription we sell helps lower our goal and increase our chances of success. If you’ve got a comics-reading, fantasy-loving youngster in your life, consider gifting them a year’s worth of awesome stories. If you just love innovative storytelling and collaborative worlds, get one for yourself! And please do spread the word and tell your friends (especially those with kids). Reblogs, retweets, likes, shares — whatever you’ve got. We’re gonna need all the help we can get to make this thing fly.
